High CPU Temps. Causing Lag In Games? Help!

I also noticed that my Quad Core Phenom II 965 is only being pushed to 60-65% in game. By the way guys, all tips are welcome. all i can recommend replacing the thermal compound on the cpu, and maybe a better cooler or cut back on the overclocking if any.edit : 70 C idles are very high Install HWMonitor to monitor voltages, temperatures, and fan speeds to see if you can narrow down the possibilities. I'm not much of a technology junkie but I think that type of framerate does a number to ANY computer.
Haha. I trust MAM. solved CPU Spikes to 100 infrequently causing fps drops, lag and low GPU usage (gaming) CPU spikes to 100% and temp goes up. I have 2x9800GT's in SLI and a Core2Duo 3Ghz, both at 100% fan speed.

While keeping an eye on the temperatures, press down firmly for about 30 seconds on each corner of Intel's stock cooler. It's well within normal temperatures. Cpu Temperature perhaps go and test with occt already and post screenshots. Core Temp Anmelden 12 Wird geladen...

maybe Crysis is really taxing on the graphics card, while going relatively easy on (multicore) cpus.

It's possible that this game is triggering some sort of error in your computer that is causing the temperature readings to be abnormally high.
